Is it fair to look at social media posting and commenting as a present-day variation of journaling? If so, how well does what we post serve us and our well-being? How can we do it in a healthier way. :-)
Never thought about it that way Bradford. My first thought is that journaling in public is, perhaps, something other than journaling. Maybe journaling is essentially private?
Thank you for this it is incredibly helpful to look at my own writing this way as a long hand writer for many years I switched from notebooks to a hybrid system of recording entries on my phone via video or audio and then I added recipe cards several years ago and have used the cards white and sometimes colored to organize my work my thoughts and action plans rather than interfacing with the screen, last year I added an Inkwell and pens and gigantic portfolio drawing books and I love it. this process it has allowed me to keep relevant thoughts very close incorporate little drawings and the intimacy of The Inkwell. I have literally become a card carrier I carry my little note cards with me and it allows me to bring to whatever table I'm sitting at a handful of relevant thoughts.
I found my way here through Jim Palmer's deconstructionology newsletter in which he covered a lot of interesting ideas.

Would you consider putting an electronic copy on Gumroad or similar?
Hey Paul,
Yes I plan to put a digital version online as well. I will announce that in a few weeks!

Can't wait for this to become available to everyone to buy!
Oh man does this float my boat. "confusing, messy, aimless" I'd add inconsistent to that, for me at least. I'm so glad I found you.
